The scholarships are financed by the Research Council of Norway (NFR) under the VERDIKT program . The project is on medical sensing, localization, and communications using ultra wideband technology (MELODY) for 7 years (2008-2015) and is a joint effort among Rikshospitalet University Hospital, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, and University of Oslo. The project will have strong collaboration with several top international universities and leading industry in areas of wireless technology and medical sensing.
